The State had recorded 43 new corona positive cases on a single day on Wednesday. Unfortunately, all the cases are connected to those who attended the prayer service in Delhi in the second week of March.
Kadapa district alone recorded 15 new cases on the day closely followed by West Godavari district with 13 cases.
The total number of corona positive cases has thus gone from 44 till Tuesday evening to 87 on Monday morning.
Unfortunately, those who have attended the prayers in Nizamuddin in Delhi did not report to the administration on the corona contacts.
They have also failed the officials and the village volunteers from giving information on their visit to Delhi where over 800 foreigners were present in the prayer service.
The state had won the battle against the dreadful disease with two infected persons who were treated and discharged from the hospital in the state.
The first success was reported from Nellore where a positive case was treated and the infected person was discharged from the hospital.
The second case came from Visakhapatnam where the 60-year old patient was treated and discharged on Tuesday.
Most of the corona positive contacts are either quarantined in homes or shifted to the isolation wards in various hospitals across the state.
The state was thus ahead but the Nizamuddin prayers have brought down the success rate and cast a shadow on the state’s efforts.
