Why Alla was not made CRDA chairman

Alla Ramakrishna Reddy, YSRCP MLA from Mangaligiri was promised a place in the cabinet if he defeated Lokesh and YSRCP came to power. On May 23rd election results were out and YSRCP got a huge mandate from people of Andhra Pradesh. Alla Ramakrishna Reddy became MLA by defeating Nara Lokesh, son of the then incumbent CM Nara Chandra Babu Naidu.

In this backdrop, everyone expected Alla Ramakrishna would be taken into the cabinet. However, in the first cabinet of Jagan’s cabinet Alla did not find a place. It raised many eyebrows as to why this happened. Because he was not given cabinet post there were speculations that he will be made the CRDA chairman since he is one of the MLAs in the capital region. But even that didn’t happen and everyone is surprised why Alla was not offered this post.

Only after many months, the reasons are becoming clear. CRDA is going to be dissolved and in its place, VGTMUDA is being considered. VGTMUDA stands for Vijayawada Guntur Tenali Mangagiri Urban Development Authority. All the 29 villages of the existing CRDA are going to be merged in the new authority.

The VGTMUDA will prepare a revised masterplan with necessary modifications. All the loans taken by the APCRDA for the capital loan would be transferred to VGTMUDA, for which the state government would stand a guarantor

Because Jagan was clear in his mind about the capital from day one. For sure he had plans in his mind to make sure Amaravathi will not exist by the end of his five-year rule. TeluguRajyam.com is speculating that’s the reason why Alla was not made chairman of a soon disappearing CRDA.
