The 3 capitals issue is probably going to be a costly affair for the Telugu Desam Party. It is very evident from day one that the leaders like Ganta Srinivas Rao were looking for the right opportunity to cross over from TDP to the ruling YSRCP.
It looks like the capital issue and the Telugu Desam Party’s Pro Amaravathi stand is going to come handy for Ganta and his colleagues from Uttarandhra to make the much-awaited Jump. Ganta has conducted a meeting and all the four MLAs including Ganta attended the meeting showing their support for Vizag as Executive capital
At this time it looks like at least 4 MLAs from Uttarandhra and one from Rayalaseema are preparing the ground to desert TDP. If five MLAs move away from TDP it is going to be a costly affair for the TDP supremo.
Babu might lose the Leader of the Opposition in the Andhra Pradesh status when TDPs strength goes less than 10 percent of the total MLAs in the State Assembly.
