Star Shine

The actor who played the role of Prawan Kalyan did well. He showed the right kind of expressions and emotions and also body language.

Other casts did full justice to their roles and Ram Gopal Varma himself makes a surprise entry in the film. RGV’s dialogue, “Nijanni Vetukovatanniki Abaddam eppudu vadakudadu…Deeni artham nakkooda telidu.” confuses everyone.

Director’s Special

Ram Gopal Varma is wont targeted Power Star Pawan Kalyan in his film Power Star. He however highlighted the frustration of Prawan Kalyan after losing the elections. He did not show Pawan Kalyan in a negative manner like how he made fun of NTR, Balakrishna, Chandra Babu, Lokesh, and others in his previous films. Ram Gopal Varma showed the frustration of Pawan Kalyan in Prawan Kalyan and tried to find answers and finally, he surprises all by giving solutions.
It all depends on how Pawan Kalyan fans react to the film as few may believe that RGV insulted Pawan Kalyan while few feel that he did not insult in any manner. Apart from it, he showed many celebrities in a funny and satirical manner and this may not attract people. RGV however has a weak story and screenplay.

Technical

There is nothing much to talk about the technical team of Power Star. Of all the songs, only Gaddi Tintava song is good in a satirical manner. DSR’s Background score is in sync with the story mood. RGV asked his cinematographer to tone down his angles and come in a simple manner. Cinematographer Joshi passed through the motions as he had to shoot the film in a few locations and especially in a house. Editing is good compared to earlier RGV’s films. Few dialogues and satires are good.
