Chandra Babu should focus on the War not on battles.

Chandra babu Naidu

After the defeat in the general elections to the Andhra Pradesh Assembly, everyone in the state felt Chandra Babu would go into hibernation and this would be the end of TDP. Surprisingly Naidu swung back into action within three weeks by picking up various issues and fighting against the government.

It’s always good to be in the midst of people fighting for their cause. But Chandra Babu needs to understand that people just voted him out of power. They have given their verdict based on the last 5 years’ rule of TDP. Six months is a short period for people to forget the ordeals that they went through in his rule.

However, if the issues are grave and people are really having trouble, he should always be in the forefront to represent the people as a responsible opposition party. But if one were to look at the issues he picked up they lacked the substance to get people on his side.

The first major issue he picked up was his house. It was a very personal thing that he should have avoided. People were in for English education. There was no need to pick up that battle. The other issues like onions was a national issue. There was no need to create so much ruckus at the Assembly gate.

The latest one being the Amaravathi capital issue. Taking the stand of ONE capital is going to hurt TDP in other regions. He should have welcomed the move and demanded fair compensation to the Amaravathi farmers. Then he would have had the face to go and ask for votes in any region of the state. Otherwise, these small battles will make TDP a sub-regional party

Per Telugurajyam’s view, it is OK for Chandra Babu to lose smaller battles like English education, Sand issues etc. but his focus should be on the general election in 2024. That is going to be the defining war and would decide the fate of TDP.
