Serious action against COVID-19 quarantine violators in AP!

The Machilipatnam police of Krishna district in AP booked cases against three persons for violating the home quarantine rule.

The police, on information from ward volunteers of the Machilipatnam Municipal Corporation, found that three persons, who have returned from Dubai in the second week of March, roaming in the streets of the town.

The police said that the three persons from Varregudem village on the outskirts of Machilipatnam were kept under home quarantine on their return from Dubai.

The police after filing the cases, sent them back to the home quarantine threatening them of shifting to the hospital isolation ward if they violated the rule.

The police said that three persons of same family were initially tested negative for corona when they returned from Dubai. However, the three persons were kept in home quarantine on the directions of the district administration.

The police warned the family members of dire consequences if they were found violating the rule once again.

The police have also instructed the village and ward volunteers of the Varregudem habitation to keep an eye on the movements of these three Dubai returned persons.

The Machilipatnam police said that three persons would also be geotagged to check their movement and would initiate serious action if they floated the norms once again.
