There is a general saying that child actors cannot last long as heroines in Tollywood. Maybe this rule holds good for the current times rather than the past. In the past, heroines like Tulasi, Sridevi, Meena, and Raasi played child actors and then turned heroines and their careers lasted long. But recently the times were changed and not any child actor turned heroine lasted more than a movie. Recently, ‘Jai Chiranjeeva’ child artist Shriya Sarma turned heroine with ‘Nirmala Convent’. But the movie bombed at the BO smashing the dreams of Shriya Sarma as a heroine. ‘Manasantha Nuvve’ child actor too met with the same fate.
Currently, ‘Malli Raava’ child actor ‘Preethi Asrani’ turns heroine with the comedy-drama ‘Pressure Cooker’. Sai Ronak is playing the male lead and directed by Sujoi and Sushil. Rahul Ramakrishna, Rajai Rowan, Tanikella Bharani, CVL Narasimha Rai, and Sangeetha are playing other key roles in the movie. Karampuri Kreations and Mic Movies are jointly bankrolling the project. The film is said to be a satire on Indian parenting aspiring for IIT and then America.
