Tollywood Jakkana Rajamouli elevated the standard of Indian cinema at the international level with his magnum opus Baahubali. He created a sensation realising his dream with Prabhas, Rana’s Baahubali. Rajamouli manytimes during his interaction with fans revealed that his dream is to present the Indian epic Mahabharat on celluloid.
He said he would like to take Mahabharat and it would take more than five years for the same. He also wondered whether any of the top stars would give him five years bulk dates and also confessed that it would be energy sapping for him. In the midst of all this, movie lovers and people on social media are flooding Rajamouli requesting to make Ramayan on celluloid.
It is known that during the lockdown, Union Information and Broadcasting Ministry decided to retelecast the yesteryear iconic serial Ramayan. It got world record breaking viewership for the national channel Doordarshan. Following this, people are requesting Rajamouli to come with a film on Ramayan on silver screen.
Currently Rajamouli is busy with his multi starrer RRR with Ram Charan and NTR and he also lined up his next with Mahesh Babu. The question is whether Rajamouli decided to realise his dream of Mahabharat or make people happy with Ramayana.
